Vermilion Parish, Louisiana · 29.5124° N, 92.4318° W
SpaceX is building a $100 billion spaceport on 125,000 acres of Vermilion Parish coast. We make the merch, and we cover what happens next — from the people who actually live down the road from it.
The numbers
On August 25, 2026, Governor Jeff Landry and SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell stood up in an event hall in Abbeville and made it official. Here is the deal as stated.
The goods
Screenprinted heavy, drawn by hand, printed in Louisiana. Mission patches for a mission that has not flown, and one very good pun.

Who we are
Cajun Rocket Co is an independent shop out of Vermilion Parish. When the announcement landed, every national outlet flew in, filed a story about billionaires and marsh, and flew back out.
We are still here. So we started writing it down ourselves — permitting filings, road work, hiring notices, what the shrimpers are saying, what the parish council actually voted on — and putting the good parts on a t-shirt.
Two things at once: a merch company that funds the reporting, and reporting that gives the merch a reason to exist.
